Life Song Church of Erie is a community of Jesus followers who walk together on life's journey, loving one another, worshipping our Lord and Savior, and desiring to see Jesus known here and around the world. We're located in downtown Erie. See below to learn more!
In our Sunday morning sermon series, we're currently digging deep into the book of 1 John. Our desire is to learn what it means to truly know Jesus and have a strong assurance of our salvation in Him. To learn more, click here.
BRINGING WORSHIP TO JESUS AS LORD
We long to see people come to a deeply personal relationship with Jesus, resulting in heart-felt worship and committed obedience to Him as Lord.
ONE DISCIPLE AT A TIME
We walk with Jesus as His disciples, growing more like Him every day. We strive to share our lives as a body of believers, encouraging each other, praying with and for each other, and challenging each other to obey God as we study His Word together.
HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD
We desire to see the Gospel preached to all nations. We are especially passionate about bringing this message to those who as yet have no access to the good news of Jesus.
We are confident that God has revealed Himself to us through the words of the Bible. Therefore, we are exclusively committed to its teaching. All other teaching, choices, decisions, and opinions must submit to the Bible. Through learning its contents and applying its principles we can grow in our knowledge of God and progress along our spiritual pilgrimages.
The Bible is the sole authority for our lives. Therefore, we make it our ambition to know and submit our lives to God’s will for us individually and corporately, believing that our lives will more perfectly reflect His will for us as we do so.
Salvation comes to us as we believe, by faith, that Jesus' death and resurrection satisfied God’s wrath against our sin and enables us to have a personal intimacy with Him that is life changing. Romans 12:1,2
No one is beyond the grace of God. Consequently, Jesus is able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
We have found that the best way to know His Word is through hearing it taught and preached, reading it daily in our personal devotions, studying it in-depth, and memorizing it, so that God's Word will feed our daily meditation on it. Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 19:14
We long to express sincere worship to God, alone and with others. We strive to worship God in sincere, energetic, and expressive devotion. We seek to worship God together, thanking Him for His great love and faithfulness. Psalm 96 and John 4:24
God’s ultimate purpose for every believer is that we become more and more like Jesus. We will experience the wonder of new life in Christ to the degree to which our lives genuinely reflect Him. Romans 8:29
Our growth in Christ is best achieved by entering into a discipleship relationship with another believer who can model the Christian life and guide us into a deeper walk with our Savior. Matthew 28:18-20 and Titus 2:1,2
It is crucial that we learn what spiritual gift God has given us, so that we can use it to build up the local body of believers – the church. Romans 12:3-8 and 1 Corinthians 12
God is most glorified when our lives more fully imitate His love for us in all our relationships: with each other as the Body of Christ, in our families, our workplaces, and with our neighbors, both next door, and around the globe. John 13:34,35
God’s heart toward the nations is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9
We want to imitate God’s heart and devote ourselves to bringing the Gospel to every people group that has not yet heard the name of Jesus or had the opportunity to respond to His glorious Gospel.
We believe this is best fulfilled by impacting one disciple at a time, in one people group at a time. We desire that our support for and partnership with missionaries goes beyond a monthly check into an intentional relationship that includes active prayer and ongoing communication.
